About this mod

This simple mod grants Metamagic and Sorcery Points to Clerics, Warlocks, and Wizards. You obtain them as you level up, the same way you would on a Sorcerer.

Permissions and credits
Have you ever played a Sorcerer and never wanted to touch another caster class again? Yeah, we've all been there. What makes Sorcerers so great? They get to attack twice per turn. The idea behind this mod was to extend that functionality to Clerics, Warlocks, and Wizards.

Installation:

Use BG3 Mod Manager (or Vortex if you hate yourself)

Compatibility:

Compatible with everything, unless you have another mod that makes changes to these 3 classes, in which case, the changes might get overwritten depending on your load order. This mod only makes changes to the Progressions.lsx file and nothing else.

Can this be installed mid-game?

I don't know, I only tested it on new characters. But probably? You'll likely need to respec for it to take effect.

Can this be uninstalled mid-game?

I don't know. If you try it, let me know.

FAQ:

Does this work on origin characters?

Yes.

Why didn't you include Bard and Druid?

Because I was lazy, and because they wouldn't really benefit much from Metamagic (most of their kit consists of concentration support/control spells, and their damage primarily comes from weapon attacks/animal transformation). If enough people want it for those classes, I can add it in.

Won't this make Clerics, Warlocks, and Wizards overpowered?

Do you consider Sorcerers overpowered? If no, then this mod won't make these classes overpowered. It will just close the gap in power between them (Sorcs can deal twice as much damage per round in the vanilla game, making it a really hard sell to use any other caster).

What benefits does Metamagic provide?

The two most useful Metamagic skills are Quickened Spell (lets you cast 2 spells each turn; for example, you can cast your strongest spell 2 times) and Twinned Spell (lets you cast the same spell on 2 different targets; Sorcs most commonly use this to cast Haste on 2 allies).
