About this mod

A simple rework of the Ranger mod that adds more spells, and passive features to make the class feel more unique and enjoyable to play.

Jessie's Ranger Rebalance
I felt like the ranger class was pretty underwhelming in my first play through, and found that it lacked any distinct features or feeling of identity. To that end, I created this mod.

New Spells for the base class:
  • Create\Destroy Water
  • Featherfall
  • Find Familiar
  • Healing Word
  • Sleep
  • Aid
  • Magic weapon
  • Remove curse
  • Blink
  • Elemental Weapon

Level 1 Ranger:
Light-Footed: Dashing allows you to cross difficult terrain unimpeded.
Learn a Fighting Style (Moved from Level 2)

Level 2 Ranger:
Adds Hunters Mark and Ensnaring Strike as always prepared spells.
If not multiclassing, you gain a bonus action dash.

Level 3 Ranger:
NEW - Marked For Elimination: you have advantage on creatures marked with Hunter's Mark with your weapon attacks.
  • [Hunter] - Improved Critical Hit
  • [BeastMaster] - Speak with Animals is always prepared

Level 6 Ranger:
Land Stride moved down from Level 8

Level 7:
  • [Hunter] - Gain an additional fighting style


Level 8 Ranger:
Hide in Plain Sight moved down from Level 10

Level 9:
  • [Hunter] - Gains the Arcane Vehemence passive from the Spellthief bow. (You regain a Level 1 spell slot whenever you land a critical hit with a ranged weapon attack.)
  • [Gloomstalker] - Learns Darkness in addition.

Level 10 Ranger:
Adds the Natures Step aura from the Dryad Summon (You and your allies within 3m aren't affected by Difficult Terrain, can't be restrained or paralyzed, and gain resistance to poison damage.)
