HOW TO INSTALL:
(download winrar if you don't have it.)
1.) Create a folder on your desktop named DL2 Backup.
- Next copy and paste your original save file(s) into the desktop DL2 Backup folder.
Save location: Program files(x86)/Steam/userdata/top folder/534380/remote/out/save
2.) Create a new game save.
Launch DL2 > Create a new game > Finish cutscene >Quit > Close Game
3.) Open your save folder and find the save game you just created.
Go To: Program files(x86)/Steam/userdata/top folder/534380/remote/out/save
-Look at the "date modified" to match which one of the save files is the one you just created.
3-1.) Once you indentify the new save. remember its name. (mainly the number)
- Example: save_main_1
(the number could be 1, 2 or 3. Just depends how many saves you have)
- Delete the newly created save. (save_main_1)
3-2.) Drag my file save_main_3 into your save folder and rename it to match the save you just deleted.
(in this example you would change the 3 to a 1)
4.) Launch DL2 > Load Game
- You should see your newly added save(s)

NOTES:
- Saves (no matter how old) can be converted to the most recent game version but cannot be downgraded.
- DUE TO THE MOST RECENT UPDATE(S). ITEMS SUCH AS THE KA DOOM SHOTGUN, AND BROOMSTICK MAY NOT WORK ANYMORE.
- ALL OF THE SAVES FUNCTION PROPERLY.
- IF THE SAVE IS "OUTDATED" JUST UPDATE IT WHEN THE GAME ASKS IN THE MAIN MENU.
- I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WORKS WITH THE CRACKED VERSION BECAUSE I ACTUALLY BUY MY GAMES.
- I'M SURE THIS WORKS WITH EPIC GAMES. JUST TRY IT. YOU REALLY THINK I OWN BOTH? LMFAO.
Corrupted Data/Overwrite FIX:
DISABLE "Steam Cloud"
DISABLE "Steam Cloud"
- Steam > Library > Right click Dying Light 2 > Properties > uncheck the box that says "Keep saves in the Steam Cloud for DL2"
- This will prevent "data corrupted" errors, and stop previous saves from overwriting when initially installing.
- BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR ORIGINAL DATA.
