Mod Description I've been meaning to potentially dabble in adding Pokemon to the game, in several ways, and this ended up being the first thing I've created! Basically, I noticed there were practically no options to replace ostriches. There's hardly any mods for it, especially compared to other animals. (I suspect this is due to them being a much more recent addition to the game, and most players never getting ostriches...) So I thought hey, Altaria is super cute, that could work. 5ish hours of hand drawing sprite sheets later, another couple to figure out how to actually make an AT pack, and another couple to make the post, and boom! It's real! Enjoy the fluffy cloud birds!
UPDATE 2/29/24: Turns out, I'm very bad at remembering to include commas and brackets in json files. If you have 1.0, please update this mod! If you have 1.0.1, there is a description of what to do in the Posts tab to fix the problem.
How To Install
1. Download Alternative Textures if you don't already have it. 2. Download this mod. 3. Unzip mod(s, if you needed to download AT) into your mods folder. 4. Use the scissors(tool bought from Robin) to change the textures of your ostriches, and enjoy!
Additional Notes / Permissions
1. I couldn't be bothered to make a Content Patcher version, as I prefer AT, but if anyone wants to convert it, feel free. 2. Ostriches should already be Swablu when they hatch. But you can use the scissors to change their texture if they aren't. (I did not test hatching ostriches once I changed the ChanceWeight property for the vanilla texture, but it should work to replace them entirely.) 3. Please keep in mind that these assets are not directly ripped from any Pokemon game. I drew these spritesheets myself. If you would like to use these assets for anything, please ask me. 4. I will not take requests for other Pokemon animal replacement mods. Commissions, maybe, but requests will be ignored, as this was mostly intended for my personal use. Thought I may as well publish it so other people can enjoy it too!
